🎄 Haworth Christmas Walk: Haworth, Hewenden Viaduct & Goit Stock Waterfall

📍 Start: Brontë Village Coach & Car Park, Haworth
⏱️ Duration: approx. 4–5 hours
🚶‍♂️ Terrain: mixed – lanes, moorland paths, woodland, trails
🔁 Route: circular
🥾 Difficulty: Moderate – some hills and uneven ground
🐕 Dogs: welcome if well-behaved

Join us for a Christmas-themed countryside walk starting in the beautifully decorated village of Haworth, where the cobbled streets are usually filled with seasonal cheer, brass bands playing carols, and a lovely festive atmosphere.

We’ll head out along the Brontë Way onto Marsh Lane, passing the house used as “Three Chimneys” in The Railway Children – a perfect nostalgic stop at this time of year.

We then cross the railway and follow the path beside Bridgehouse Beck, before climbing steadily up onto Black Moor, with crisp winter views across the hills.

From the moor we drop into sheltered woodland beside Milking Hole Beck, then continue around Hewenden Reservoir, often peaceful and atmospheric in winter light.

Next, we make our way onto the impressive Hewenden Viaduct, offering stunning elevated views – fingers crossed for frosty fields or a dusting of snow!

We carry on into Goitstock Wood to visit the beautiful Goit Stock Waterfall, a magical spot at this time of year, especially with winter water levels.

After a break, we follow paths and trails back towards festive Haworth, where there’s usually the chance to enjoy Christmas shops, decorations, mulled drinks, or more carols before heading home.
