Walking with Jane Eyre, Cowan Bridge. 7 miles

A Bronte walk. Starting from Leck church we will walk to the real "Lowood House" the fictional school of Jane Eyre - now an airbnb! Formerly a clergyman's daughters school. From here we will walk to Tunstall Church, as the school girls did every Sunday. before returning to Cowan Bridge for refreshments.

Mainly on field and farm tracks. some stiles etc and a short section on the busy A683, where we pass the site of Calacvm Roman Fort .
