Chatburn and Downham Super Six Walk (6 mile easy walk)

Want to get into walking? Why not join us in our annual “Super Six” campaign of easy post Christmas and New Year walks specifically aimed at encouraging people who wish to give walking in the Lancashire countryside a try.
We guarantee a warm welcome, a smattering of humour and the likelihood of some mud so please ensure you wear suitable footwear and bring a waterproof jacket.
We set out from the village of Chatburn which sits at the foot of Pendle Hill. After making our way across some beautiful countryside we will arrive at the picturesque village of Downham for a short lunch by break. After leaving Downham we make our way to an ancient 16th century pack horse bridge which is a great spot for photographs, then back to Chatburn for a well earned coffee or beer in the local pub.

The walk may be a little muddy in places given it is January so please wear either walking boots or an old pair of trainers. No dogs.

Meet at Chatburn Library - BB7 4AS. There is a free public car park and street parking available.

The suggested donation for non-Ramblers Association (RA) members is £2 to cover Meet-up costs.

Please note that we restrict the number of places available on Meet-up as (unlike other Meet-up groups) we have a significant number of Ramblers who attend our walks and who are not required to book as attending via this app. We would, therefore, respectfully request that you do not reserve a place on any walk unless you are sure that you will attend.
