Hornby and the R Lune circular. 11 miles. Moderate.
Details
A walk with scenic views to Ingleborough and across the Lune Valley. Crossing fields, bridges, skirting through pretty villages to the Lune flood plain where we pick up a patch to return to Hornby.
Please wear boots as the fields can be uneven to walk across and muddy if it's been wet.
The car park operates a cash only system with a cost of £2 for the day.
The suggested donation for non-Ramblers Association (RA) members is £2 to cover Meet-up costs. Members, please bring your card.
Please note that we restrict the number of places available on Meet-up as (unlike other Meet-up groups) we have a significant number of Ramblers who attend our walks and who are not required to book as attending via this app. We would, therefore, respectfully request that you do not reserve a place on any walk unless you are sure that you will attend.
Alternatively, why not join us and be a part of the Ramblers for a small annual subscription? Membership guarantees a place on all 'Hike on Lancashire' walks and ensures priority access to events organised by the Group. You can also walk with any other Ramblers Group across the UK.
Annual subscriptions go toward maintaining paths and allow the RA to campaign for improved access to the countryside. You will also receive the monthly 'Walk' magazine and a 15% discount at Cotswold Outdoors.
