The Lancaster Bicycle Club is a road-based recreational club for cyclists of all levels.
The Club carefully plans rides and related events such as bike-safety courses that result in self-confidence, physical fitness, and improved riding skills for cyclists. The Club also hosts numerous social events and supports bicycle-related initiatives through its grant program. The Club has awarded over $530,000 in grants since 1999.
Whether you are an experienced rider or new to bike riding, you can find a variety of suitable rides here on Lancaster Bicycle Club’s Meetup site. Rides are held year round.
Your Meetup membership does not mean you are a Lancaster Bicycle Club member. To eliminate the need for a paper waiver at the ride start, we require club membership in addition to Meetup. You can join today at [lancasterbikeclub.net. ](https://lancasterbikeclub.net)
For proper verification of membership we do not allow anonymous Meetup IDs. Please sign up with a first and last name in order for your request to join be approved.
Thank You.

FreeOnFriday? Hike - High Family Nature Preserve NEW LOCATION for Dec 5
Old Trolley Line Park, Beverly Road, Elizabethtown, PA, USIMPORTANT NOTE: The venue has been changed for the Dec 5 hike from Shenks Ferry preserve to High Family Preserve due to the possibility of the steep and shady access road into Shenks Ferry being icy. It is supposed to be really cold on Dec 5 so dress accordingly.
The ~ 1.7 miles of trails at the High Family Nature Preserve are arranged in three loops that traverse different ecosystems. The three loops connect to form one longer loop hike around the entire preserve. Actual distance and route subject to change based on day-of weather and trail conditions.
High Family Preserve The website provides map and driving directions.
Hike coordinator: Jan Zerfoss 717-201-0530
There is usually a portable toilet in the parking lot at this preserve.
Please bring your own water and energy snack and first aid kit. I always strongly encourage bringing hiking poles although this particular hike is not too strenuous.
After hike beverages/lunch at Colebrook Tavern
