Sunday across the Ben Franklin Bridge/River Link Ferry 38 miles F RSVP required

Because of limited room on the train, this ride is limited to 8 riders.

Join a limited number of bicycle friends from the Wilmington and Lancaster clubs on a Sunday ride over the Ben Franklin Bridge and then return to Philadelphia on the River Link Ferry boat.
We will park our cars at the Malvern SEPTA Train Station, 61 North Warren Ave, Malvern, leaving to ride at 8am. We will ride down Bridge Street pass Wegman’s and jump on the Chester Valley Trail. In Norristown the trail connects to the Schuylkill River Trail, which we will ride to the Art Museum in the city. After the Art Museum, we will connect to Race Street, ride Race Street across the city to 5th Street that will lead us to the bridge. After crossing the bridge pictures at the battleship New Jersey, we will return to Philadelphia on the River Link Ferry. The cost of the Ferry is around $7. Back in the city we will ride down Arch Street to the Reading Market where we will lock our bikes while we stop to eat. After eating we will ride to the Suburban Station, 15th & JFK. At the station you will need a SEPTA pass or purchase one. The fare should be around $14. Two bicycles are allowed on each car of the train for the one hour trip back to Malvern.
This ride is limited to a total of 8 riders.
The following are required:
-a helmet for each rider
-have a tube so someone can fix your flat
Philadelphia is a bike friendly city and lots of fun but:
-you must have flashing red light system on the rear of your bike
-you must have a rear view mirror system so you know what is behind you at all times
-every day bicycles are stolen in the city. At Reading Market you must lock up and secure your bike. It is best to lock two bikes together.
-you must follow and stay with the leader of this ride. No going ahead
