Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Ride with a Purpose
Details
RIDE LEADER: LaNeicia Meyer
RIDE SWEEP: Chris Dubin
October is Breast Cancer Awareness and the 18th is the day that is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness day. Please join me in support of all the women that are fearlessly battling it, and in honor of those we have lost.
I lost my sister, Meshelle, 2 years ago to to breast cancer, and I have another sister battling it, Her name is on my bike, and I always kiss my fingers, and put it on her name, and tag my rides as #miles4meshelle, Wearing pink on the ride is optional, but it is the reason I choose to wear it on my rides.
FUN Rides: Distance less than 25 miles, ride leader pace about 11 mph or less, group will wait for all cyclists. Frequent rest stops. Good pace for beginners and families. Try a Fun Ride if you're not sure of your abilities.
Helmets are mandatory; please also plan to bring 1-2 water bottles, and basic repair kit (spare tube, tire levers, pump/CO2 inflator).
