FreeOnFriday? Hike - High Family Nature Preserve NEW LOCATION for Dec 5

IMPORTANT NOTE: The venue has been changed for the Dec 5 hike from Shenks Ferry preserve to High Family Preserve due to the possibility of the steep and shady access road into Shenks Ferry being icy. It is supposed to be really cold on Dec 5 so dress accordingly.

The ~ 1.7 miles of trails at the High Family Nature Preserve are arranged in three loops that traverse different ecosystems. The three loops connect to form one longer loop hike around the entire preserve. Actual distance and route subject to change based on day-of weather and trail conditions.

There is usually a portable toilet in the parking lot at this preserve.

Please bring your own water and energy snack and first aid kit. I always strongly encourage bringing hiking poles although this particular hike is not too strenuous.
