Hello there! We are an in-person Buddhist Meditation group. We hold weekly classes, guided meditations and courses at our Meditation Centre at 93 King Street in Lancaster city centre. We cover topics such as inner peace, overcoming anxiety, love and relationships, dealing with depression, mindfulness etc. Everyone is welcome in our meet-up group, no prior experience of meditation is necessary. We're looking forward to meeting you soon!
All our classes and courses do go ahead even if noone is booked to attend, as some people just drop-in on the day or find out directly through our website or posters.

Meditation Classes

Meditation enables us to cultivate mental states that are conducive to peace and well-being, and then to diminish and finally let go of those that aren’t. In order to improve our meditation, it is important to examine and understand our mind. If done conscientiously, examining the mind can help us pacify our distractions. At the beginning our mind is very much oriented towards external phenomena and we are preoccupied with worldly affairs, but by bringing our attention inwards to examine the mind it is possible that these conceptual distractions will cease.”

Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace. Rosy will then give a talk based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate beneficial ways of thinking into our busy, daily lives. The class concludes with a second guided meditation so that we are confident to begin practising on our own.

Training in Joyful Effort - Half Day Course

Training in meditation and positive inner transformation requires mindfulness, dedication and skill. On this course we will learn how to develop the ultimate training tool of joyful effort which fills our mind with energy and delight.
We will no longer struggle to develop our meditation practice but instead we will become like a child at play, enjoying very moment. As we discover how to develop and maintain this inner joy we will naturally transform and positive results will come effortlessly!!
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday morning course, regardless of background or previous experience of meditation.
