Ohio Windy 9 trip. Tue/Sat 9-3 through 9-7 Great ride. close 2 home. plz read.

First off. If you haven't ridden that area of Ohio/West Virginia, you are in for a big surprise. The Southeast corner of Ohio is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is not in the flatlands of Ohio that comes to mind when we we think of Ohio.
The roads are more crooked than a politician and will challenge pretty much any rider.
There is a real nice break in the weather next week that looks like it will be perfect for riding.
Leave Tuesday morning and hump it out to Marietta Ohio right on the Ohio river, Stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Marietta. I have stayed here before and it is really nice. Newer hotel. Best of all the prices on Priceline are around $76.00/night and that includes breakfast.
Look up the Windy 9 in any motorcycle magazine and you will find plenty of articles describing the roads.

Marietta is a really cool college town with plenty of restaurants and stores to fill our needs. It's right on the Ohio river, so you can grab dinner and watch the river barge traffic go by.
The roads are pretty challenging and there is something for everyone.
You should be intermediate or above in skills.
My bike is getting mad at me for not taking it out for a thorough thrashing this year. I have to make amends to her.
So the trip is not not too far (1 days ride) and has great roads and great accommodations for riders. And is extremely affordable. What's not to love?
