Taylor Bay and Jake Fork Bay paddle (~4.0 miles) - Saturday October 7th, 8-11:30 a.m. We will meet at the boat ramp gravel parking lot in Taylor Bay Backcountry Area located off of Forest Service Roads 135 and 136 (see photo). We will paddle around the shorelines and to a couple island areas at the entrance to the two bays. We will meet at 8 am and start paddling at 8:30 am. Bring your binoculars if you are into birding, some water, snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent, and hat/sun visor.
Note:
Meetup organizers/leaders are not guides. Expect the same risks and take the same precautions you would take if you were kayaking alone. Be sure to bring and wear your personal floatation vest. You are solely responsible for your own safety and well-being while on the water.
