Land Between the Lakes Cental Hardwoods Trail (Shuttle) Hike (4.0 and 8.2 mi.)

Take your pick of either a 4.0-mile or 8.2-mile hike on the Central Hardwoods Trail east to west. We will meet at the Fenton Trailhead parking area, marker #1 at 8:30 am for those that want to hike 8.2 miles. We will leave from there at 8:40 am and shuttle to Sunset Trail marker #5. For those only wanting to hike 4.0 miles, you will need to go to the Golden Pond Visitor Center, marker #3 to be picked up to begin hike at #5 by 9 am. The 4.0-mile hike will end at the Golden Pond Visitor Center and the 8.2-mile hike at Fenton Trailhead. The 4.0-mile hike portion will take about 1.5 hours to complete and the 8.2-mile section until around noon. Please let me know if you plan to hike 4.0 miles or 8.2 miles. This will help to arrange shuttle needs.

There is no charge for this event. Member can invite up to 1 guest.

Dogs are welcome and must be on a leash at all times. Please note that this trail is shared with mountain bikers. The dog owner is fully responsible for their dog and its interactions with other dogs and people. Please plan accordingly for shuttle.

Meetup organizers/leaders are not guides. Expect the same risks and take the same precautions you would take if you were hiking alone. Be sure to bring and wear hiking boots/shoes. You are solely responsible for your own safety while hiking.
