About us

Sign up for two taster classes in German longsword! We practice a real, German historical martial art for which there is a wealth of written material between 1400-1600 as a fast, technical, full-contact modern martial art using steel longsword simulators.

All equipment is provided for a fee of 5 EUR per session (insurance is included). You are welcome to then decide to join our regular trainings.

Longsword fencing

Try out German longsword fencing! No experience is needed but you must be over 18. We will provide a steel or plastic longsword simulator, fencing mask, protective gloves, and a throat protector and go through some safety instructions. We will then warm up and perform some basic technical drills with the chance to try free fencing at the end 🤺⚔️

Bring sports clothes, a bottle of water, and some thin work gloves if you have them (we can provide them too for a small fee). The cost is 5EUR for equipment hire and insurance is included for up to two tryouts without membership.

We meet at 18:45 opposite Drächslstraße 8. The class starts promptly at 19:00 and runs until 20:30.
