This will be the Langley Horror Club's First Event!
Really just testing the waters out with something simple: A movie night. I chose Resident Evil because it's a really fun movie and it's super worth the watch/rewatch! This is a social event, so I thought this would be a great way to break the ice and have a focal point for discussion.
DISCLAIMERS
First, the time of the event is most defintiely going to change. Cineplex has not yet listed showtimes for Sunday October 25th. I will keep it as close to 7pm on the day as I can. Will keep you updated!
Second, You will have to pay for tickets and food yourself. Tickets for a regular feature are 18.12$ after tax from what I see on the website. A large popcorn there is 9.75$ and Large soda is 6.99$ before tax
OUTLINE:
We will meet up at the theater entrance ahead of time to greet each other and get to know each other a little bit before hand.
Watch and enjoy the movie
After the movie, we can head to a nearby coffee shop to talk about the movie and then go with the flow of conversation from there.
Wrap up. Feel free to head home whenever. We will have a discord for the club where you can keep in touch with others
AFTER THE MOVIE: THINGS TO NOTE
Eating at a bar or reasturant can be expensive especially after paying for tickets and snacks already. That's a lot of money just for a nice place to sit while talking about a movie we just watched together.
I'm keeping it open to suggestions, but for now the plan is the starbucks or tim hortons on 88ave and 201st. Not too long of a walk (Like 7 mins) and should have some seating where we can chill and talk with some coffee and donuts. You don't have to eat or drink anything if you don't want too, just if your feeling hungry.
Also, if you're tired after the movie or would rather share your thoughts later and want to head out, all good. Don't feel any obligations - having fun comes first! As mentioned before, I will have a discord server for the club so we can all keep in touch for future events, meets ups, and general chatter.

PLACE: Cineplex Cinemas Langley (Just off 200th and 91A Ave)
DAY: Sunday October 25th
TIME: As stated, TBD - Cineplex hasn't yet listed times for Sunday OCT 25th but I will be checking everday and keep you updated the moment I see what times are available.
THINGS TO NOTE
If you all want to meet there 15 - 20 minutes beforehand at the entrance, I think that would be plenty of time to say hello, get our snacks, and settle into our seats
My thinking is we would sit together as a group but there is no judgement if you have a prefence to sit somewhere else
