April 23rd is Sant Jordi — Catalonia's most beautiful tradition.

The whole city fills with book stalls and rose sellers. Couples, friends, and strangers exchange roses and books on the street. It's the day of love and culture in Barcelona, and it's unlike anything else. 🌹📖

This Thursday, we celebrate it at OGHAM — our way.

Bring a book you've finished and swap it with someone. Any language, any genre. Leave with a new story and a conversation about why someone loved theirs. 📚

🌹 Make your own paper rose. We'll have paper, ribbon, and templates at a craft table. Fold one while you chat and take it home — or give it to someone. No experience needed. It's basically origami for roses.

🐉 Learn the story behind the day. We'll share the Sant Jordi legend — the knight, the dragon, the princess, the rose that grew from the dragon's blood — and show how Gaudí hid the whole story into Casa Batlló's facade. The scale-tiled roof is the dragon's spine. The cross-crowned tower is the knight's sword. The bone-shaped balconies are the dragon's victims. By the end of the night you'll understand why 23 April means so much here.

Everything else stays the same: Language Exchange on the main floor with DJ Session and live music 🇬🇧🇪🇸🇫🇷🇩🇪, Karaoke and giant Jenga downstairs 🎤

El 23 de abril es Sant Jordi — la tradición más bonita de Cataluña.

Toda la ciudad se llena de paradas de libros y vendedores de rosas. Parejas, amigos y desconocidos intercambian rosas y libros por la calle. Es el día del amor y la cultura en Barcelona, y no hay nada igual. 🌹📖

Este jueves lo celebramos en OGHAM — a nuestra manera.

Trae un libro que hayas terminado e intercámbialo con alguien. Cualquier idioma, cualquier género. Vete con una historia nueva y una conversación sobre por qué alguien amó la suya. 📚

🌹 Haz tu propia rosa de papel. Tendremos papel, cinta y plantillas en una mesa. Haz una mientras hablas y llévatela a casa — o regálasela a alguien. No hace falta experiencia. Es básicamente origami en forma de rosa.

🐉 Descubre la historia detrás del día. Te contamos la leyenda de Sant Jordi — el caballero, el dragón, la princesa, la rosa que brotó de la sangre del dragón — y te enseñamos cómo Gaudí escondió toda la historia en la fachada de Casa Batlló. El tejado de escamas es el lomo del dragón. La torre con la cruz es la espada del caballero. Los balcones en forma de hueso son las víctimas del dragón. Al final de la noche entenderás por qué el 23 de abril importa tanto aquí.
