Language Swap @ Culinary Dropout
Details
Let's meet in the Grant Road Lumberyard District this weekend for a night of language practice and casual conversation at Culinary Dropout at 2543 E Grant Road on Saturday evening @ 5:00 pm. Although this restaurant can be full on Saturday nights, it has several seating areas and a fun vibe. We will meet inside the restaurant and move to individual tables for food, conversation (and games inside the large indoor patio area in the back). This gastropub is popular for its many appetizers, great dishes, music and of course games like foosball, ping pong, and cornhole on the patio. The main entrees may be priced on the high end but the prices for drinks and snacks / small plates seem reasonable. Look for updates in the event chat on the day of the event to identify specific language table areas. Hope you can join us for this next language adventure!
Parking: There is parking in the lot.
Food and Drink: Culinary Dropout has a tasty selection of great dishes, quality drinks and appetizers. As we are meeting at a business, it is strongly encouraged that you purchase something.
Whether you speak a foreign language, are learning a new language, or just want to make friends from the US and around the world, meet us at Culinary Dropout for a fun, international evening.
So, what is the Language Swap? At its core, it is a place to practice languages in an informal and real way, talking with native speakers and other learners. More than that, it’s a place to make international connections, and we’d love to have you whether you are a fluent speaker or a day 0 beginner.
There will be tables for various languages. Which ones changes every event, but there will always be an opportunity to practice English, Spanish, and French. Other languages may appear each week based on our attendees!
Who can attend:
• Anyone! This event is open to all levels (and languages!).
Hope you can join us and learn something new! In the spirit of this event... Ane leid is nivver eneuch. 一種語言永遠不夠. Bir dil asla yeterli değildir. .ایک زبان کبہی بھی کافی نہیں ہوتی Un lingua es nunquam bastante. 언어 하나론 부족해. Una sola lingua non è mai abbastanza. One language is never enough. :)
