About us
We're a casual group of people who want to actually use the languages we're learning instead of just grinding through apps on our phones. Whether you're working toward fluency, brushing up on something you studied years ago, or just curious about a new language, this is a low-pressure space to practice with other people who get it. We meet on weekends because most of us have day jobs, and we figure that's when we can actually show up consistently.
The format is pretty straightforward. We usually pick a language or rotate through a few, find a coffee shop or park, and just talk. Sometimes we'll do structured conversation practice, sometimes it's more organic. Honestly, a lot of our best learning happens over coffee when we're just figuring things out together. No one's judging your grammar, and nobody expects you to be fluent. We're all at different levels, which actually makes it work better because you learn from how other people approach problems.
If you've ever felt stuck with language learning or lonely trying to do it solo, come hang out with us. We're not intense language nerds, though some of us kind of are. We're just regular people who think it's more fun and way more effective to learn together.
