What we're about

Our meetup is for anyone that enjoys being outdoors and participating in outdoor events with other people. (During the winter months some events will be just to get us out of our house.)

We focus mostly on adult activities in the local area but sometimes plan trips with overnight stays. We also schedule a few family outings that will be specified as so.

Please email the group organizer if you would like to have the ability to add an event yourself and organize an outdoor activity. (this would make you an event organizer).

Come and join us!

Membership dues are $3 for the calendar year and can be paid on our website or at an event. (to cover the monthly fee of the website)

Pickleball Mondays at Alfreda Schmidt Community Center $3

Alfreda Schmidt Community Center

$3 fee to participate.

Join us at Alfreda Schmidt Community center on the gym floors to play indoor pickleball. Most are beginners. Playing for fun. Not too serious, but well organized. Usually only have to wait out one game before you are back in play.

They have paddles to borrow and supply the balls.

There is free parking.

We will play every week. The day and time may change based on member preferences. There is pickleball on every week day at one of the two community centers in Lansing: Alfreda Schmidt or Lett's.

Wednesday's Walk/Hike at Scott Woods (Hawk Island Park)

Scott Woods Park

Join us to hike for about 1-2 hours at the area's favorite paved park: Scott Woods/Hawk Island.

After hiking we will go to a local restaurant/bar/pub for food and refreshments.

This will be a weekly event. We will go in a different direction each week.

Meet in the parking lot at the end of Clifton Ave.

Pickleball Fridays - Outdoors at Ranney Park

Ranney Park

Join us at Ranney Park on the tennis courts to play pickleball. The tennis courts have pickleball lines painted on the surface. We are beginners. Playing for fun. Not too serious. (We think we know the rules.)

I have enough equipment for four to play.

There is free parking next to the skate park. You can also park at the old Sears parking lot and walk to the courts from there.

We will play every week. The day and time may change based on member preferences.
