Hello writers! We are here to provide a space for community and intentional writing. We are an all-skills level group spanning genres such as academic research, poetry, novels, and even some journaling. No matter what you’re writing, revising or researching we’d love to have you join us.
We are donation based, and all events are hosted at local coffee shops in and around the greater Lansing area. Please check out event descriptions for our location, COVID precautions, and event details.

Free Write
Moka and Co, 4738 Central Park Dr, Okemos, MI, USEvent description:
This event is to set aside a couple of hours dedicated to getting some writing done. We do quick introductions for newcomers before we settle into a study hall style event. The only required materials are your preferred writing method and yourself. There are no limitations to what you work on, this is your time!
Event location:
This event will be hosted at Moka & Co in Okemos. They are located east of Meridian Mall across from Speedway on Grand River. There is parking available in the lot for the plaza. This is a free event and you are not required to make a purchase to attend, however, if you're in need the menu, the link is below.

5 attendeesWriting Prompt Round Robin
Coffee Barrel, 2237 N Aurelius Rd, Holt, MI, USEvent Description:
This will be a guided round robin style writing session for all those who attend. Whether you are shaking off some cobwebs or just want to try something new, I hope you can join us.
How it works: a prompt will be provided to the group and we will write for a specified amount of time before a new prompt will be given. Each round this month will be 10 minutes long. You can write in any style preferred. A total of six rounds will take place to give us an hour of writing total. Additional time in our two hours can be spent discussing, sharing, or providing feedback.
What you will need: your preferred method of writing and yourself.
Event location:
This event will be held at the Coffee Barrel in Holt. They are located on the corner of Cedar St. and Aurelius Rd. Parking is available in the lot they share with Rite Aid. This location does close at 3:00pm. Please plan for us to wrap up prior to close.
