We’re turning nine.

And to celebrate, we’re heading back to Der Wolf...

In Old Pasadena — the same spot where we threw some of our very first events. A few of our regulars still remember those nights, and this one’s going to bring it full circle in a big way.

We’ve teamed up with a bunch of other local chess clubs for one massive night of games, drinks, and good chaos. Think: boards everywhere, strong moves and stronger beers, old friends reconnecting, and plenty of new faces ready to jump in.

Der Wolf has three totally different vibes to explore — big beer hall energy upstairs, a patio for catching air, and “The Dungeon” downstairs if you’re feeling moody. Wherever you land, there’ll be chess waiting.

Boards provided, all skill levels welcome. Show up early if you want a prime table (or a rematch).
