LLMs are getting smaller, now compact enough to run smoothly on standard laptops. While trade-offs are inevitable, different models excel at different tasks.
I built a simple benchmarking tool as a side project using Ollama to compare these lightweight models and discover which ones shine for specific use cases – helping me make smarter choices about which small LLM to use when computational resources are limited.
