“PI-Planning" eats Agility for Breakfast?

Hello all,
we want to explore in a workshop how the effects of Increment Planning, Release Planning or in other words planning over longer periods of time affect adaptability (agility).
Are those approaches helpful or do they create waste? What are your experiences with such events?
To do this we want to use Causal Loop Diagrams (CLDs) together with predefined variables and create own variables to get the input and thoughts of the participants as well.
CLDs are a technique to do live Systems Thinking. They help us to have a conversation and see the whole.
