South Side Works Exposed Festival

Details
Venture out into the sun with your trusty fuzzball, er, large dog, and enjoy some music, art, and shopping at the SouthSide Works complex.
SouthSide Works Exposed is an amazing mix of a music festival, artist's market, and sidewalk sales -- but most of all a celebration of art in life. The setting for the event is in and around the Town Square of SouthSide Works, a dog-friendly shopping complex near the Hot Metal Bridge. Within the music festival you'll see and hear local, semi-national, national, and cultural performances. Gathered in the Artist's Market 27th Street Strip you will get to see some of Pittsburgh's newest exciting artists, along with some old favorites who have supported the Pittsburgh arts for years. Planned additions this year will be street performers and jazz trios within the Artist's Market area. Check out information on the Artist's Market here: https://exposedartists... (https://exposedartistsmarket.org/)
Many of the stores in SouthSide Works are dog-friendly (REI, White House/Black Market, Urban Outfitters), and most weekends you can find many dog owners and their furry friends playing in the fountain in the Town Square of SouthSide Works. We have timed our large dog meetup to coincide with a musical performance by Boss Diablo at 2:00 p.m. The band features drummer Tom Hohn, who is married to our group organizer, Kerry Krueger. Boss Diablo is a four-piece musical concoction that draws on elements of 60s roots rock, big city blues, garage rock mayhem and badass country strut to forge their unmistakable sound. The Pittsburgh-based band dishes out an impressive collection of originals along with an eclectic repertoire of stylized roots music covers. Check 'em out here: https://www.bossdiablo... Music performances and the artists market begin on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and continue through Sunday, so plan to arrive early, stay late, or come out and enjoy multiple days of this festival.
Be sure to bring a blanket or camp chair, if you plan to hang out and listen to the music, as well as water for you and your dog, and poop bags. Bring cash so you can patronize the artists displaying their wares, credit cards so you can shop the SouthSide Works stores with your dog, and make sure you bring no more than 2 dogs per handler. Flexi-leads are discouraged due to the sheer number of people, many of them without dogs, who will be attending this event.
Parking in the SouthSide Works garages is $3 for the entire day on Saturdays and Sundays.
