Lace up your hiking shoes and join us for a trail hiking adventure at Mt. Tamalpais. We will be exploring the Crown Rd (Southern Marin Line Fire Rd), they go up to to Hoo Koo-E-Koo Trail, then back to our starting point. It offers spectacular views and a rewarding hike. This event is perfect for both experienced trail hikers and beginners looking to for a supportive group setting.

Whether you're new in town or a seasoned local, this is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts. Estimated difficulty: 4.5 (1 to 10): This hike also starts out very flat, and half way we will turn up hill. Not too steep nor long, but it will be a hill. It ends with a trail that goes back down to Crown Rd.

2o to 30 minutes up, then it levels out on the ridge with nice views of the bay and Mt Tamalpais, and Mill Valley. It goes along the ridge, then downhill in then end back to Crown Rd, close to where we started.

First half is in the sun, so bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats!

Time estimate: About 1.5 to 2 hour(s)

Meeting location: Crown Rd (at Southern Marin Line Fire Rd) in Kent Woodlands.

Directions:
(Coming from Downtown Larkspur):

  1. Magnolia Ave toward College of Marin (Kentfield)
  2. Magnolia turns into College Ave - continue straight.
  3. Turn left onto Woodland Rd.
  4. Turn left onto Evergreen Dr.
  5. Follow Evergreen up (it winds through the neighborhood, just stay on Evergreen to the end about 1.5 miles) - it becomes Crown Rd.

Park at the end, you will see the gate. We will meet at the sign for the trail.

Parking: Lot's of parking on Crown Rd at the start of this hike.
