Join us for a relaxed and scenic 1-hour hike along the Tennessee Valley Trail to the stunning Tennessee Beach. This is one of Marin's most beautiful and accessible trails, featuring rolling hills, open meadows, and coastal views. We'll walk at a comfortable pace, perfect for casual hikers or anyone looking to get outside and meet new people.
At the beach, we’ll take a short break to enjoy the ocean breeze and the dramatic cliffs before heading back the same way. It’s a great way to kick off your day and connect with nature—and each other!
🧭 Scenic 1-Hour Hike to Tennessee Beach (Tennessee Valley Trail)
📍 Location: Tennessee Valley Trailhead, Marin County, CA
🕒 Duration: ~1 hour round-trip (2.4 miles out-and-back)
🚶♂️ Difficulty: Easy
🌿 Trail Type: Wide dirt path, mostly flat with a gentle incline
What to Bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Water
- Light layers (it can get breezy near the coast)
- Optional: snacks, camera, or a small towel to sit on at the beach
Meeting Point:
We'll meet at the Tennessee Valley Trailhead parking lot (Tam Junction). Arrive a few minutes early to find parking and check in with the group.
Friendly Reminder:
Please RSVP so we know how many to expect! Sorry, dogs are NOT allowed, even on a leash. This is a trail rule from the park's department. This trail is family-friendly too.
Parking: The trailhead is located at the Tennessee Valley trailhead parking area. There is a parking lot, but space is limited - arrive early to secure a spot.
Hike meeting location: We will meet at the trailhead gate.
