First rule of our photo events is to BE SAFE so that everyone has fun!
All participants must comply to ALL guidelines below or will be asked to leave the event.

Come join us at the park this Saturday for a pre-holiday photo op! Dress your dog up or wear one of the costumes we’ll bring (sizes may be limited). Anyone is welcome, whether you're a new or longtime member or this is your first time hearing about LARPBO. Join the fun and community at the park and get some cute photos of your dog for the holiday.

SPECIAL COVID-19 PROTOCOL:

  1. If you feel even slightly ill (including a headache, sniffles, minor fever or even an allergy), do not attend this event. Stay home for your health and safety of others. Remember to cancel your reservation.
  2. Face mask/shield is optional. Please maintain a 6 foot distance from anyone choosing to wear a mask.

MEETING LOCATION:
We will be set up near the Sherman Oaks class area at the Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks park near the corner of Huston and Tyrone
PARKING: Free parking on the surrounding streets and in the parking lot at the park.
WATER AND TREATS: It has been hot so bring WATER for you and your dog. Bring treats for your pup to get their attention for the photo and reward them after, too!
DISTRACTION LEVEL: Medium (other park visitors, other dogs, kids, soccer balls, birds)

LARPBO EVENT GUIDELINES:
#1 All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash. Dogs using e-collars must also be on a leash. Prong collars should be backed up with a carabiner. Short leashes are recommended (less than 6 feet). Retractable leashes and harnesses are not allowed as they provide little control.
#2 PLEASE NO NOSE TO NOSE CONTACT (dog to dog that is). Always maintain a six-foot distance between dogs. There should be no dog-on-dog interaction.
#3 Please bring doggie poo bags.
#4 Make sure you bring water for you and your dog.
#5 One dog per handler. No exceptions!

  • All breeds welcome.
  • The park is busy on the weekends, there will be other people/children recreating in the park and several others dogs. If your dog tends to be reactive to any of these distractions, please be EXTRA mindful and prepared.
  • If you have additional questions, please read the full basic LARPBO rules of conduct (https://www.meetup.com/LARPBOCOMMUNITY/messages/boards/thread/10461764/0/#39849559) in the discussion forum.
