Instead of our usual pack walk in Johnny Carson park, we're taking a spooky, low key stroll through a Toluca Lake neighborhood to see (and train near) Halloween decorations! 🎃 Depending on how we feel, our route will take an hour to 1.5 hours. Bring lights, feel free to dress up, and review the requirements and guidelines below for additional information.

Use street parking and meet us on the southern side of Sancola Ave and Riverside Dr., near The Skin Agency. Just look for the dogs!

REQUIREMENTS: Participants must submit a member form and participant release of liability each year. Click here to submit one. If you don't recall completing one this year, complete one now.

RULES:

First rule of our pack walks is to BE SAFE so that everyone has fun! All participants must comply to ALL guidelines below or will be asked to leave the event.

  1. Participants limited to 10 people. RSVP is required to hold a spot. As soon as you know you cannot attend, cancel your reservation. We understand last-minute changes take place; however, if you don't show up more than two times you will be placed on the wait list for future events.
  2. If you feel even slightly ill (including a headache, sniffles, minor fever or even an allergy), do not attend this event. Stay home for your health and safety of others. Remember to cancel your reservation.
  3. Maintain a 6 foot distance from other participants not in your household.
  4. Face mask/shield is optional. Please maintain a 6' distance from anyone choosing to wear a mask.

MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at the corner of Sancola Ave and Riverside Drive. Look for hosts, Sara and Amanda, on the southern side on Sancola, across from The Skin Agency.

PARKING: Use street parking in the neighborhood, on Riverside or Sancola.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring water for you and your dog. We will do some mental exercises, so bring treats (or your dog’s dinner) for rewarding them! Lights to increase you and your dog's visibility are highly recommended.

TRAIL: Paved/trail

DIFFICULTY: Easy

DISTRACTION LEVEL: Medium (other folks walking with dogs, some limited animatronic/moving/noise making Halloween decorations, general neighborhood distractions)

LARPBO PACK WALK GUIDELINES:

#1 All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash. Dogs using e-collars must also be on a leash. Prong collars should be backed up with a carabiner. Short leashes are recommended (less than 6 feet). Retractable leashes and harnesses are not allowed as they provide little control.

#2 PLEASE NO NOSE TO NOSE CONTACT (dog to dog that is). Always maintain a six-foot distance between dogs. There should be no dog-on-dog interaction.

#3 Please bring doggie poo bags.

#4 Make sure you bring water for you and your dog.

#5 One dog per handler. No exceptions!

#6 Share the road. Move to the right to let others pass.
