Las Cruces Craft Workshops

Discover the fun and versatility of air-dry clay in this relaxed, self-guided creative experience. Drop in anytime during event hours, roll out a slab of clay, and explore a variety of cutters, texture tools, stamps, and inks to create something that's uniquely yours.

Air-dry clay is soft, easy to work with, and requires no kiln or baking. Simply take your creations home, allow them to dry over the next 24–48 hours, and they'll be ready to display or use.

Use your clay to make a trinket dish, jewelry, magnets, or a combination of small projects. The choice is yours! We'll provide detailed instructions, inspiration, examples, and guidance to help you get started while leaving plenty of room for creativity and experimentation.

$20 includes one portion of clay and access to all tools and materials. Additional clay portions may be purchased if you'd like to keep creating.

Celebrate the beauty of New Mexico one stitch at a time.

In this beginner-friendly embroidery workshop, you'll learn the essential stitches needed to create a unique design featuring the state outline of New Mexico filled with mountains and native plants. We'll start by practicing the key embroidery stitches on a sampler before transferring those skills to your project.

During class, you'll begin stitching your design and then take it home to finish at your own pace. Along the way, you'll learn techniques for clean, even stitching, thread management, and how to confidently continue future embroidery projects on your own.

No experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are provided.

Whether you're looking for a creative new hobby, hoping to make thoughtful handmade gifts, or simply love candles, this workshop is the perfect place to start.

In this beginner-friendly, hands-on class, you'll learn both the science and art of candle making, going beyond a typical candle-pouring event to understand why each step matters. We'll cover the fundamentals of working with natural wax, fragrance, color, wick selection, and pouring techniques, along with plenty of professional tips to help you achieve beautiful, clean-burning candles at home.

You'll experiment with our collection of fragrances to create a custom scent blend, then measure, melt, mix, color, and pour your own 10 oz candle from start to finish. Along the way, you'll also create a couple of bonus candle-themed projects while your candle cools.

You'll leave with a beautiful custom candle, your bonus creations, and the knowledge and confidence to keep making candles long after class.
