Jim Schiel, a seasoned leader and Certified Scrum Trainer, has spent nearly 40 years in software development, R&D management, leadership, and Agile Development. Beginning as a systems programmer, Jim's passion for transformation led him to manage development teams ranging in size from 5 to 80 developers, introducing iterative project management processes and significantly improving product quality.
Jim's commitment to the Agile community is reflected through his certifications as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) since 2005, a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) since 2006, and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) since 2008.
In 2009, he founded Artisan Agility (formerly Artisan Software Consulting), which provides exceptional training, coaching, and consulting services. Jim has personally trained over 16,000 students globally and is the author of "Enterprise-Scale Agile Software Development" and "The ScrumMaster's Study Guide."
Having been coached by Agile thought leaders like Bob Martin, Jim Grenning, Mike Cohn, and Ken Schwaber, Jim's guidance is rooted in rich experience and best practices.
