Developing apps for the Nreal Light AR Smartglasses

Hi All - Analysts report that over 1 million consumer Augmented Reality smartglasses will be sold this year and explosive growth will continue for the foreseeable future. AR smartglasses will be the way humans interact with data, the environment, and each other and many predict that they will eventually replace the smartphone! The Nreal Light, the first full-featured consumer AR smartglasses, were made publicly available in the US on Dec 2, 2021 for $599 and Verizon immediately sold out their initial inventory. So, what does this mean?

In this meetup, we'll show you how to download the NReal Light SDK into Unity and then develop a simple app that runs in the in-built software emulator - no need to actually have the smartglasses. Although this meetup will be targeted primarily to Unity developers, anyone whose interested will be able to follow along and get a lot out of the meeting as you'll see first hand what's involved in creating real AR apps for the smartglasses.
