On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer paid a fellow Bitcoin Talk forum user 10,000 BTC for two Papa John’s pizzas – at the time the order set him back approximately $25. Today, a 10,000 BTC purchase would cost Hanyecz a hefty $17.5 million USD.
