Genome Compiler - Democratizing the Tools of Creation

Genome Compiler Corp. is building the next generation of computer-aided design tools for synthetic biology. In the age of Synthetic Biology, we need tools for designing, debugging and compiling genetic code; a genome compiler. Genome Compiler was Inspired by the breakthrough achievement of "booting up" a synthetic bacteria by using a human-assembled genome (the program that runs a cell) that took place in the J. Craig Venter Institute. Our vision is to democratize the tools of creation, unleashing innovation in biotechnology that will enable a more sustainable future.

Dr. Omri Amirav-Drory received his B.A in biology and Ph.D. in biochemistry from Tel-Aviv University. He then received the Fulbright post-doctoral fellowship and joined Prof. Axel T. Brunger.s lab at Stanford school of medicine & HHMI as a postdoctoral associate from September 2007 to September 2011. He is now the founder and CEO of Genome Compiler Corp (GCC) a venture in the synthetic biology space with a mission of enabling the design and creation of useful living things.
