This month we have a very special guest for the .NET world. Joe Mayo will be presenting "Unit Testing in .NET"

Unit testing is a universal best-practice for software developers, regardless of language and platform. The .NET ecosystem also has an ingrained dedication to the art and science of unit testing. In this presentation, Joe will provide an overview of what unit testing is and describe that ecosystem through the perspective of the C# developer. In addition to watching the construction of unit tests, you'll learn how tools like test runners and code coverage can help with the unit testing process. Finally, Joe will discuss concepts of writing testable code. While you’ll learn how C# developers do unit tests, another take away is a shared appreciation for building high-quality code.

Joe Mayo is an author and independent software consultant, specializing in Microsoft .NET technologies. He has written several books, including C# Cookbook: Modern Recipes for Professional Developers/O'Reilly. He also does open-source and his latest project is Generellem, which lets anyone use their own data with Generative AI services like ChatGPT. Joe lives in Las Vegas, NV and posts on X (as @JoeMayo) about various technologies, including C# and AI.
