Join us for a stroll through one of Nevada’s most unique historic sites—Floyd Lamb State Park at Tule Springs, once home to a famous divorce ranch.

In the 1930s to 1960s, Nevada became famous for its “divorce ranches”—rustic resorts that offered weary couples and mostly women a temporary home while they established the six-week residency needed for a quick Nevada divorce. Guests spent their days horseback riding, swimming, socializing, and enjoying authentic Western hospitality, all while waiting to “graduate” with a fresh start. High-profile visitors, privacy, and the promise of liberation made these ranches legendary refuges for a generation seeking freedom from unhappy marriages

This 680-acre desert oasis is filled with shady cottonwoods, serene lakes, wildlife, and winding bike and walking trails. Scattered throughout the park are relics of a bygone era:

• An adobe hut from 1917, built when the property was still a working ranch.
• The Foreman’s House, constructed in the 1940s, during the heyday of Nevada’s quick-divorce industry.
