Hello LV Robotics Community...
We are hosting our next event on June 26th at 5:30pm at Desert Research Institute – Southern Nevada Science Center.
Drones and Physical AI are the two topics we'll cover. We're not talking SkyNet but we are talking physical AI powered drones. Physical AI is what happens when you give your AI the ability to physically control a robot... or a drone.
Drones are transforming job functions across industries by automating tasks that were previously manual, dangerous, or time-intensive. One of the most important frameworks for assessing this transformation is the Human-to-Machine Quotient (H2MQ) — a measure of how much human input or intervention is required relative to autonomous machine operation.
John Almasi, CEO of Advanced Drone Solutions, will share the company’s journey in building a scalable drone cleaning and inspection company, serving commercial real estate and infrastructure markets.
Topics include:- Navigating regulatory complexity
- Drone system development
- Large deployments and scalability
It will be interesting to explore the H2MQ quotient for drones and if it is similar to humanoids. What is the tipping point for automating a job using a drone? Forgot your kids lunch(?), no problem... let the drone deliver it for you. Or perhaps you'll hire drones to repaint your home. If Advanced Drone Solutions' drones are looking for work... a number of casinos with dirty windows could use help.
Special guest speaker: Akshay Bajaj, Founder & CEO of HostEasy, an AI platform for short term rental management. HostEasy is building an Agentic AI "OS" for the physical world, performing real world autonomy. Akshay is known for his work on AI & Autopilot systems for autonomous cars, drones and robots. Yes-- there is a drone and robot connection here.
Industry news worth sharing: Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang made a bold proclamation:“This is going to be the decade of AV (autonomous vehicles), robotics, autonomous machines.” Right now, we’re witnessing the rise of Physical AI. And this revolution has only just begun…
At our last event we discussed Rise of the Robot which touched upon Physical AI with a few startups building tools for this-- Amplibotics for example. Similar to the AI market, I expect we will see more startups focused on training robots through "physical and synthetic prompts".
Stay thirsty, we are working on a line up of robot founders and robot investors for future events.
Thanks and look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday!
Robot Hustle Regards,
Bob & Darius
