Get a Grip.... let's talk about how robot handle objects and dexterity. Robot hands (endo factors) are advancing fast with new capabilities and use cases. Hand manipulation, to properly execute it's task needs to feel things like weight, hardness and shape of objects. In other words haptics and spacial awareness are critical for robot hands. For example, a robot hand may need to assemble a part that requires delicate manipulation and agile reflexes to complete it's task. Five years ago this type of task was a stretch goal for robotics but in today's world it's a reality.
