Robot Hustle

Hello LV Robotics!

We are holding our next event on Wednesday, Feb 26th @ 5:30pm. The event host is Pololu @ 920 Pilot Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

So, it's been awhile so apologies for the delay in setting up this meeting. Behind the scenes we've been interviewing robot founders and startups to include in our speaker series. The good news, we have over 8 robot startups that want to speak at LV Robotics so we'll begin announcing them at our upcoming event.

For this week, we have a BattleBots robot GINZU, Amplibotics (training robot data), and RobotLab (robot automation). EIS Automation has some great updates as does AAA20 but we'll keep those for our next meetup.

There are a number of promising FIRST Robotics high school teams with serious talent! The challenge they have: access to maker spaces and mentors to help them develop their robots. This is something we are looking into. Our idea would be to develop a Robot Passport that would allow access to university and private robot labs for research and development purposes. On that note, please let us know if this is something you would be interested in since LV Robotics members can help shape these efforts.

And lastly Darius and I launched ROBOT HUSTLE, our new podcast. We've interviewed some cool robot people and cannot wait to share it with you. The idea of ROBOT HUSTLE is to feature robot engineers and entrepreneurs who hustle everyday to bring their project to life. You have to hustle if you want to build robots, it's a big part of the journey and we want those stories told! Stay tuned on the official launch of the ROBOT HUSTLE podcast airing.
