Lunar Robots
Details
Hello LV Robotics,
Our next event, Lunar Robots, is happening this Thursday, May 21st. We are diving deep into space tech with an incredible lineup of speakers who are actively building the future of off-world infrastructure.
Here is a look at who is speaking:
### The NASA Space Elevator
- Bradley Edwards (Los Alamos National Labs / Arthur C. Clarke Innovations Award Recipient)
- The Big Idea: Bradley designed the first space elevator for NASA (read the original paper here https://media2.spaceref.com/docs/spaceelevator/iac-2004/iac-04-iaa.3.8.3.01.edwards.pdf ). By deploying a proprietary carbon nanotube structure $30\times$ to $50\times$ stronger than any existing material, this system aims to radically lower the cost of launching cargo and crew into a translunar trajectory.
Entrepreneur Spotline: Star Support
- Tommy Laplante from Star Support. Star Support is a robot distributor for leading robot brands providing installation and technical support to Casinos and Hotels in Las Vegas. They have the largest footprint of deployed robots in Vegas with active casino discussions on POC trials. Tommy is the former CIO at Top Golf, Caesars and Harrah’s. He knows how to place robots into live environments.

### Sci-fi Updates from Do-ers in the Space Community
We will also feature a few rapid-fire updates on the latest in hardware, power, and AI:
- Solange Massa (EcoAtoms): An update on "Ecos"—specialized payloads manufacturing biomedical products in microgravity.
- "Connor Grey, Senior Astrodynamics Engineer @ Slingshot and the founder of AstroSweep. AstroSweep is pioneering next-generation space debris removal technology to ensure a sustainable future for space commerce. "
- James Pogreba (AI Computer): On designing sovereign AI models for independent nodes in edge environments and orbital systems
