No serious slammers please... We just wanna have fun!! If you are a very competitive, serious player, this group is not for you.
We have different levels of players at Neon Picklers. Everyone paddles-in and takes their turn playing when courts are busy. We ask all players to rotate, take your turn, and include all players when you play. No one wants to be left out...please be kind and include all players! If you are a better player than the ones you are playing with, just work on your weakest shots.
PLAY SAFELY! Play at your own risk. "Please use protective eye wear, court shoes, and do not run backwards on the court".
NEON PICKLERS 1st meetup was created in Oct. 2021 by Sheila Stewart. In Feb. 2022. Southern Nevada Pickleball, "SNP", became a sponsor and continues to support our group of senior players, (and some not so senior).
SNP's sponsorship funds our meetup site and banners so our meetup membership is free for Neon Picklers. Thank You SNP!
In addition Sheila Stewart is an Ambassador for USA Pickleball. USA provided pickleballs for our pickleball machine in Feb. 2023. Consider a membership to support both these Pickleball organizations who work to make our pickleball experience great!
As a member of Neon Picklers here are a few simple rules you agree to play by:
- Play At Your Own Risk! Please play safely at all times! You alone are responsible for your own well being.
- Safety 1st !! Tennis court shoes & eye protection highly recommended.
- Have Fun, Be Kind & Considerate
- Hydrate, Hydrate, Drink plenty of water
- "Ball" is called, if another ball from a near-by court enters your court while you are playing, the game stops. That play starts over.
- Do not run backwards to get to a ball, it's not worth the risk.
- Please "Paddle Up", if the courts are full, and take your turn sitting out.
Neon Picklers offers a place to get together and play this awesome sport of pickleball! We continue to work on locating the best courts to play on throughout the year for our Neon Picklers.
Neon Picklers helps seniors and others too, experience this awesome sport of Pickleball. Pickleball can make a real difference in the lives of seniors by giving them a much more active, healthy, life style that is great fun! Pickleball helps create new social interactions and new friendships. It is a wonderful sport that can change player's lives in countless ways!
We have a great time playing with all players! While most of our players are 2.5 level and above, we do help new players get started. Enjoy age and skill level appropriate people to play Pickleball with, while keeping fit and creating new, fun, friendships.
You'll need a pickleball paddle, balls, eye protection, a good pair of court tennis shoes and plenty of water.
