Welcome to the grass roots, people-powered, community calendar of events for the Tantra Community in Las Vegas!
There are several important differences between this and most other Meetups. The most important difference is that ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN CREATE AND ANNOUNCE MEETUP EVENTS - completely without organizer approval.
That's right. You heard me right.
EVERY SINGLE COMMUNITY MEMBER can post ANY EVENT you like on the new Community Calendar - any time you want - without any organizer approval whatsoever - And you can even announce it yourself immediately the entire community without approval as well.
Here is - step by step - how to create a grass roots Meetup event the Community Calendar:
1. Join the Community.
2. Go to the 'Let's Meetup and...' prompt to suggest and add Meetups on the Meetup Group's home page
3. Members may add Meetups by filling out the 'Let's Meetup and...' form
4. Meetups added by members are turned into official Meetups immediately.
5. Member-added Meetups with a date selected will appear on the Calendar
6. Member-added Meetups without a date selected will appear only on the 'Upcoming' Meetups list on the Meetup Group's home page
7. The member who adds the Meetup may choose to announce the Meetup to the Meetup Group's members imnediately and completely without organizer approval.
Finally, the community mailing list is completely unmoderated so that ALL community members can reach the entire community! All you have to do is send a message to the mailing list and it will reach the entire community - without needing any moderator approval.
These are powerful community building tools. Please use them responsibly.

2026 Awaken as Love California Tantra Festival

Everybody, the festival is back!
Join us for this annual, multi-day program that typically draws 100+ people seeking greater understanding of oneself and each other while also having FUN!
Spend 5 days (or however long you can attend) away from the stresses and negativity of daily life, and immerse yourself in workshops, meals, discussion groups, conversation, music, dancing, nature, and enlightenment with speakers, facilitators, and fellow guests, domestic and international.

This will be my 8th time as one of the people who helps to run the festival.
What festival activities are obligatory? Whether you attend alone or with partners/friends, you are always at full choice on level of involvement. Moreover, members of the emotional support team and supervisors (including me) are on hand to listen to and help attendees. Feel free to talk to us at any time.
Registration fee: This is paid at the festival website (https://california-festival.com/product/tantra-festival-ticket/), not here at Meetup, and so please be aware that the festival is NOT a free event (despite what this Meetup page incorrectly says by default). All guests have access to indoor restrooms with hot showers. Ticket prices vary depending on whether you select the camping or dormitory option and whether your ticket is for early arrival or regular arrival (starting on 2025-09-25/FR @ 14:00 PDT). Please carefully check your ticket so that you do not arrive too early or too late :)
Optional: The festival normally has practitioners on site who offer products and/or sessions. Fees and payment forms for their offerings are are arranged between seller and purchaser and are separate from the registration fee.
Volunteering: We can always use volunteers who are reliable, cooperative, and willing to work a few hours per day in exchange for a discounted registration fee. Go to https://california-festival.com/volunteer-opportunities/ for more information,.
Location: The festival will be at a retreat center close to the northwestern part of Sequoia National Forest, about a 20-minute drive north of California State Route 180, between Fresno and the northwest entrance to Kings Canyon National Park. (Important: Do not confuse this with the southwest entrance to Sequoia National Park from California State Route 198, and do not mix up Sequoia National Park with Sequoia National Forest. They are entirely separate.) The retreat site is about a 1-hour drive from Fresno, the nearest large city.

A snugglefest is a safe space to engage in non-sexual touch while practicing open communication and maintaining personal boundaries. It is a place to learn and practice communicating around touch and asking for what we want, being vulnerable with our wants and needs, honoring our own emotions, experiences, and boundaries, and respecting those of others. It is also a place we can develop a new way of seeing rejection as an honoring of someone else’s desires and boundaries. You can come to the snugglefest to meet new people, to have a great conversation, or just to cuddle!Some skills you may learn or practice at the snugglefest:
