Escarpment Trail Loop in Spring Mountain Wilderness

What to Expect:
Join me for a great trail with beautiful views of Kyle Canyon. This is a moderate 3.7 mile loop with 669 ft elevation gain. The steepest incline will occur at the beginning of the hike, leading to gentler inclines and descents the remainder of the trail. Parts of the trail are quite rocky so proper footwear is a must! No scrambling is required on this hike. Event time includes travel to and from the carpool point.

We will meet at the Taco Bell parking lot at 8am to carpool. The address is:

If you prefer to drive yourself, plan to meet us at the Spring Mountain Visitor center. We will walk to the trailhead at 8:45 am. Restrooms are located in the Visitor Center.

What to Bring:

• At least 2L of water
• Snacks/electrolytes
• Sunscreen/hat
• Proper footgear

I acknowledge that I voluntarily choose to participate in the above-named event (the “Event”). I understand that participation may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, equipment use, travel, weather conditions, and other unforeseen hazards.

1. Assumption of Risk:
I am voluntarily participating in the Event and assume all risks associated with my participation, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, or death.

2. Release of Liability:
I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event Organizer, its directors, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, partners, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained while participating in or traveling to/from the Event.

3. Medical Treatment:
I authorize the Organizer to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if needed. I understand that I am responsible for all medical costs incurred.

4. Media Release:
I grant the Organizer the right to take and use photographs, video, and audio recordings of me for promotional, educational, or informational purposes in any medium, without compensation.

5. Compliance with Rules:
I agree to comply with all Event rules, regulations, and instructions from event staff. I understand that failure to follow rules may result in removal from the Event without refund.

6. Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer and all released parties from any claims brought against them as a result of my actions or omissions during the Event.

If this is your first hike with us, you will be required to sign a waiver of release and liability to participate. Waivers will be updated annually.
