2026 New Year's Adventure: Mulholland (Almost) All the Way + Spruzzo's
Trails Cafe, 2333 Fern Dell Drive, Griffith Park, Los Angeles, CA, USLet's start 2026 off right, with a beautiful and enjoyable cruise from Hollywood to the Ocean, taking Mulholland Dr./Mulholland Hwy. (ALMOST) the entire way!
This will be a long, full day's ride, more than 60 miles. It's suited for experienced riders (lots of twisties!) and we recommend scooters over 110cc.
Basic Ride Description:
Starting at Trails Café, we'll ride Mulholland to Hayvenhurst Blvd., then cut over to Ventura Blvd to Reseda Blvd for the gas stop. The route continues on the back streets off Ventura, then again onto Mulholland to the Rock Store for a brief break. Finally, a quick bit of Kanan Rd., then back onto the remainder of Mulholland Hwy to PCH.
We'll then head down to PCH to have lunch at Spruzzo's Restaurant.
The ride will end at the restaurant, and you will be on your own to get home from there.
Please meet everyone at Trails in Griffith Park at 9 am.
AND
Please come early if you want coffee or breakfast, as there may be a line.
Scheduled departure / KSU @ ~9:30 AM.
[Tentative/Planned] Route: https://maps.app.goo.gl/sn7KYaNN1i1HyPxFA
FYI, we are going to be taking backstreets parallel to and just south of Ventura Blvd. to avoid getting the group split up by stoplights.
LUNCH STOP:
We will stop for a "QUICK" snack break at the Rock Store, but will also be ending the Ride at Spruzzo's Restaurant & Bar with their great tasting food and coastal views. For more info, check out their website below.
Restaurant Website: https://spruzzomalibu.com/
Please remember to arrive at the start point with as close to a full tank of gas as you can. We will not punish folks who come from a greater distance to arrive at the ride, and we will be making a stop for gas along Ventura Blvd in Encino. (Likely @ Reseda Blvd.)
Again, this ride is suited for riders experienced with canyons and twisties. We'll have shorter and less technical rides scheduled soon.
Foul weather will result in a cancellation/postponement.
We'll post any changes here to let everyone know.
