This is mountaineering, not just hiking. Over about a week we'll climb La Malinche (14,636′), Izztacihuatl (17,159′), and Pico de Orizaba (18,491′). We'll use a guide for all three.

The date is open but mid-January would probably be a good time. The total cost is probably going to be $2k to $3k each. We'll find a guiding company, split the cost, and you'd take care of your own flight/hotel/food/gear/etc costs.

You need to be very fit for this, but I don't think prior crampon/ice axe experience is necessary. You should have successfully acclimatized to 14k' before (we'll acclimatize on this trip, but spending some time close to 10k' before the trip would be a good idea.) You have to be solid and responsible since this is in a foreign country.
