Yosemite - Easy Backpacking to May Lake and Camping

Easy overnight backpacking to a scenic, alpine May lake in Upper Yosemite on Saturday.
Epic campsite next to an alpine lake, overlooking the granite walls and Mt Hoffman, close to some fun hiking trails:). Prior backpacking or camping experience is required for this trip. I may join later in the afternoon or skip this altogether, so people need to be self-sufficient as well as team player :)
If anyone wants to camp in the Yosemite Valley on Friday, you'll have access to the backpackers' campground with this permit. $8 pp

Please respond to all the questions when you RSVP and I'll shortlist people for the lottery based on those who meet the pre-reqs. Prior camping experience is highly recommended. Also, it can get cold at higher elevations - 8000' to 9000' at our camping and backpacking spot. Will reach out to shortlisted people with next steps. Your spot is confirmed after you confirm via venmo/zelle and there's no refund unless the trip is cancelled, so please commit accordingly. If someone can't confirm/pay within a couple of days, they will be back to No Go/WL. Same for anyone who hasn't provided the requisite level of details. Please be specific if you can only go with a carpool.

• Trail: ~2.5 miles r/t, ~500'+ elevation gain
• Plan: Backpacking on Saturday with optional summit hike
• Cost: $15 pp for Backpacking permit
• Carpool: based on confirmed people and carpool availability
• Trip confirmation: Your participation is confirmed after you have answered the pre-req questions, made the payment, and get a confirmation from me
• Waitlist: Feel free to DM me if you have any issues with getting on the Waitlist

As always - respect the wilderness, LNT, and follow trail etiquette
