Frenchman Mountain (LVMC Classic 50 Peak)

This is a trip to summit Frenchman Mountain via the Mountaineers Route, and one of the LVMC Classic 50 peaks. The summit has some of the best views of the Las Vegas valley. I have done this hike several times in the past, but it has been over 10 years since my last outing. The route mostly consists of class 2 and class 3 scrambling and it is recommended to wear older boots or approach shoes. The route is pretty straightforward and well marked from my memory. I also have several tracks, waypoints, and a guide to help me, but this will be semi-exploratory. I am still getting back into hiking/scrambling shape, so I am not rushing, and there will be plenty of breaks.

Meetup Location: TBD. The trailhead is sometimes a little difficult to find for some so we will be meeting up in a shopping center down the street.

Total Distance: 4 miles round trip
Total Elevation Gain: 2,100 feet
Altitude: 4,052 feet
Terrain Description: Some class 1 at beginning and end, but mostly class 2 and class 3 scrambling
Approximate Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Pacing: Slow to Moderate with periodic breaks, including summit time.
Gear: Wear old hiking boots or approach shoes; new boots & approach shoes are NOT recommended.
