DAY HIKE- Cove Mountain
Details
This hike is meant to coordinate with the group camp in Snow Canyon State Park. We'll leave from our campsite's parking area. Those not joining the camp out can meet us at the northern exit of the park on highway 18 about 5-10 minutes after the designated time. The trailhead is about half an hour north of the park.
Cove Mountain is peak with over 1,200' of prominence. The hike follows dirt roads most of the way to the summit.
Total Distance: 6 miles round trip
Total Elevation Gain: 1,600'
Altitude: 5,520 - 7,042
Terrain Description: class 1 (mostly dirt road)
Approximate Hiking Time: 4 hours
