Details

This is a trip to summit a couple of 3,000-foot prominence peaks (Cain Mountain, and Mount Moses) northwest of Austin. Additionally, we'll try to tag the high point of the Cain Mountain Wilderness (on the side of Cain Mountain) on the way up or down Cain Mountain.

The plan is to leave Las Vegas on Friday and camp at Bob Scott campground (or near it, if it's not open). On Saturday, we'll climb Cain Mountain. We'll find a place somewhere between the two mountains to camp on Saturday night. On Sunday, we'll get an early start to climb Mount Moses and then return to Las Vegas.
