Sensory-Somatic Approach to Acting
Details
INTRODUCTION
Why take the Sensory-Somatic Approach?
Sense explored: Smell
This is the first session of this three parts workshop
In this session, the participant actors will be introduced to the Sensory-Somatic Approach to acting. Actors will briefly introduce themselves, share with the group where they are at the moment in their careers (this workshop is both for beginners and experienced actors alike), and share their thoughts and expectations for the workshop.
After the introductions, the instructor will help actors choose the appropriate monologue to work on for these explorations as well as make suggestions on the selection of the objects to use to trigger the sense of smell.
For more information about the three sessions in this workshop, please visit the exploration page at LAT Digital Space website.
