Let’s get active and enjoy the outdoors together!
This is a beginner-friendly hike meant to motivate those with more sedentary lifestyles to get moving and explore nature. Our goal is to go as far as the group feels comfortable — ideally to Sky Pond — but we understand we may turn back earlier if needed.
📍 Meeting Spot: Glacier Gorge Trailhead
🕓 Meetup Time: 4:45 AM
🚶♀️ Start Hiking: 5:00 AM
🥾 What to Expect:
Designed for beginners
Pace will be moderate and flexible
9 miles round-trip is the target, with about 1,780 feet of elevation gain
Expect 6–7 hours, but it could be shorter based on group needs
Moderate to strenuous trail with uneven, rocky, and possibly wet sections
Scenic stops for photos, rest, and hydration
🧭 What to Bring:
2+ liters of water
High-energy snacks or a light breakfast
Layered clothing (temps can change quickly)
Waterproof or windproof jacket
Hat and gloves if needed
Good, broken-in hiking boots
Trekking poles (optional but helpful)
Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat
A basic first-aid kit
Offline trail map or downloaded map
Your park pass (digital is fine!)
