Sky Meadows (5 mile slow hike)

After a long hiatus with this group I'm going to kick us off Fall 2023 with a baby scenic hike in one of the most popular areas.

We will be gathering at the parking lot/visitor center and taking on the hill up to the scenic overlooks that connect to the AT at the top. Be prepared to depart on time. You are welcome to run ahead or lag behind as I know some folks can handle elevation at different speeds. This is not an easy walk as there is a steep climb. If you don't mind a snail pace out of breath waddle you can stick with me!

We will be joined by a few extra corgis since I'm combining this with my corgi club. If you do not like corgis or dogs in general you are in the wrong slow hiking club as I will always have my two with me. People/Dog friendly dogs are always welcome. Use common sense when brining your dog.

This is a State of Virginia park so please pay entrance fee or bring your state park pass and display it when parking. National Park Pass does not work here!
